We’re more than a service provider. We support our community with kindness and respect, helping people feel safe, supported and empowered to thrive.
As an independent, community-based organisation with no religious affiliations, Cafs is proudly guided by a volunteer board of dedicated local leaders.
We work in close partnership with government and community organisations to support people in building safer, stronger futures, creating healing, hope and meaningful change across generations.
Our vision is for safe, connected, inclusive & thriving communities. Our purpose is to enable healing, hope & meaningful impact, today & for generations to come.
We support people with care that’s thoughtful, respectful, and shaped by their experiences, always listening to and prioritising the needs of children.
Deeply embedded in our local community, we understand the complex realities many families face, from housing insecurity and mental health challenges to family safety and child protection. Our work is shaped by this understanding and focused on creating positive, lasting outcomes.
With more than 160 years of history in the region, we honour our past, learn from it, and remain deeply committed to reconciliation and healing. We acknowledge the harm caused to the Stolen Generations and were among the first to join the National Redress Scheme.
Our work is guided by Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), a proven approach that helps people feel safe, rebuild trust, and take positive steps forward.
Let’s build a better future, together.
Whether you’re reaching out for support, seeking more information or looking to give back, partner, join or volunteer, we’d love to hear from you.
