They offer new clothes to people in need, helping them feel more confident and empowered, whether they are starting a new job or fleeing family or domestic violence. Our volunteers tell us how amazing it is to see firsthand the transformation of people’s confidence and sense of dignity once they’ve had a Thread Together appointment. Our clients have let us know how their lives have improved as a result, whether through job offers, rental application success and more.

Through Cafs’ Corporate Volunteering Program, organisations can contribute time, skills, and energy to support vulnerable children and families across the Central Highlands. From lending a hand at the Thread Together Hub to supporting grassroots initiatives, every act of service helps strengthen the fabric of our community. A key part of this program is our Specialist Skills Bank, a unique opportunity for professionals to offer their expertise in areas like finance, IT, legal services, hospitality or therapeutic wellness. These contributions go beyond traditional volunteering, helping to build capacity and create long-term impact for the people we support. These partnerships reflect a shared commitment to social responsibility and community wellbeing. By stepping outside the workplace and into the heart of the community, corporate volunteers help create lasting, positive change. Together, we’re building stronger connections and a stronger future for our community.
