For Baby's Sake

Cafs provide parents with trauma-informed, therapeutic support to break the cycle of domestic abuse and give their baby the best start in life.

Break the cycle of domestic abuse and give your baby the best start in life.

Pregnancy and parenthood can bring pressure, conflict and strong emotions. If things feel difficult or unsafe in your relationship, you are not alone.

We work with parents who:

  • Are expecting a baby and are in pregnancy
  • Want to change the behaviours that cause harm
  • Want to safely co-parent their baby (whether in a relationship or not)

We work with both parents to help you to break cycles of harmful behaviour, and give your baby the best possible start in life.

What makes For Baby’s Sake different?

  • We help you support your baby’s healthy development from pregnancy until their second birthday
  • We work with both parents, and each parent has their own Therapeutic Practitioner
  • We provide caring, long-term, therapeutic support
  • We understand how past experiences can affect our relationships and our confidence as parents

This is not about blame. It’s about understanding, safety and moving forward. You can refer yourself, or ask a professional to refer you.

Criteria:

  • Co-parents who are expecting a baby
  • A commitment to co-parent where it is safe to do so (no expectation to be in or stay in a relationship)
  • A history of unhealthy behaviours in your relationship
  • Consent to receive long-term therapeutic support
  • A willingness to seek our support
