Q Hub
QHub is a welcoming, inclusive space where LGBTIQA+ young people and their families can connect, feel supported and access free, affirming services that foster belonging and wellbeing.
With a focus on mental health, wellbeing, and social connection, QHub fosters a sense of belonging in a welcoming environment where everyone is valued and supported.
Funded by the Victorian Government, QHub is delivered in partnership with Drummond Street Services, Cafs & Wellways. Welcoming hubs are located in Geelong & Ballarat, & outreach services extend to the Surf Coast.
Cafs is a proud partner of QHub, a vital initiative that delivers co-designed, place-based services for LGBTIQA+ young people – up to 25 years of age – and their families or carers across our region.
QHub offers a safe and inclusive drop-in space where young people can access wrap-around support, build social connections, and experience a strong sense of belonging. The program fosters positive peer and intergenerational role models and hosts a variety of educational and community events.
All services are free, affirming, and accessible. They are delivered by a dedicated team of queer-identifying staff who bring lived experience and deep understanding to their work. In addition to direct support, QHub also provides community capacity building and inclusion training, helping to create safer, more inclusive environments for LGBTIQA+ people across our communities.
Together, we are building a future where every young person feels seen, supported, and celebrated just as they are.
You don’t need all the answers, just a place to start.
At Cafs, you don’t need to know exactly what you need before reaching out. We’re here to listen, understand your circumstances and work alongside you to find the right support – whether that’s one service or several working together.
Many of our programs focus on early intervention, helping people navigate challenges before they escalate, so you feel supported, informed and empowered at every step.
Our wraparound approach means you don’t need to know where to start, we work with you to find the right support. Every program is delivered by compassionate, highly trained staff who genuinely care about your wellbeing.
Trusted locally, committed personally with a support that understands your world.
For over 160 years, Cafs has stood alongside individuals, families and communities across the Victorian Central Highlands. Our strong local roots and deep community ties mean we understand the challenges people face and how best to help.
Let’s build a better future, together.
