Services for families

Every year, Cafs helps over 6800 individuals and families across the Grampians and Central Highlands. We work in partnership with you and your family to give you the support you need to make informed decisions. Our programs are specifically designed to meet the needs of our local community.

New Parent Day Stay

Cafs Day Stay delivers one-on-one personalised support for new mums, dads and carers who are experiencing difficulty in establishing routines for sleep, settling and feeding. We’ll provide you with strategies to help you understand the behaviour of your little one so you can parent with confidence.

Refer a Child in Need

Are you concerned about the wellbeing or safety of a child? Anyone in the community can make a referral. Child FIRST, as the access point for family services, is progressively transitioning to The Orange Door.

Family Counselling

Our Family Counselling services help you foster the skills to navigate relationships within your family. Our private and confidential sessions are available to individuals, couples and families.

Family violence

Family violence can happen to anyone, but it’s most commonly carried out by men against women who are their current or former partners. About a quarter of women in Australia have experienced violence by a partner at least once.

Family Support

At Cafs, supporting families is at heart if everything we do. Our Family Support Services cover a wide range of programs designed for families at all stages of life. We understand that every family is different, and we tailor our programs to your individual needs.

Men’s Support

Cafs’ work with men who are the perpetrators of family violence underscores our commitment to child safety. It provides us with a valuable opportunity to support women and children to live free from violence.
