The wellbeing of children, young people and their families is at the heart of everything we do.
Our support programs are specifically designed to meet the needs of the communities we serve.
At Cafs, your contribution counts.
We’ve been supporting children and families as a proudly independent organisation for nearly 160 years and, in that time, we have expanded to deliver more than 44 innovative support programs specifically designed to meet the needs of people across the Victorian Central Highlands.
Even the smallest donation makes a difference to someone experiencing hardship.
Your gift, no matter the amount, will help Cafs continue to support people across the Victorian Central Highlands.

The effects of family violence are felt through generations. At Cafs, we are committed to creating safer homes for women and children by working with men through our Men’s Behaviour Change and Family Violence Intervention Programs.
Together, we can break the cycle and build a safer future.

Each year on 26 May, we mark National Sorry Day, commemorating the tabling of the Bringing Them Home report in the Australian Parliament and honouring the survivors of the Stolen Generations.
For the first time, the Bringing Them Home inquiry revealed the truth of Australia’s Stolen Generations past, sharing this truth with the nation. 27 years later, many of the report’s 54 recommendations remain unimplemented or only partially implemented.
Cafs continue to acknowledge this important history and work towards healing.

Cafs is passionate about providing our Foster and Kinship Carers with ongoing support and learning opportunities.
Recently, our Carers have completed training in Trauma Responsive Care. This compassionate, non-clinical approach is designed to meet the unique relationship and developmental needs of children from hard places, including those in Foster and Kinship Care.
With Trauma Responsive training, you can:
> Strengthen relationships with children in your care.
> Create a sense of felt safety.
> Teach self-regulation and coping skills.
Join us in making a difference to the lives of local children needing a home, by becoming a Cafs Carer. For more information call us on 1800 692 237.
